Policy: ANU Endowment for Excellence

Purpose

To define the operating principles of the ANU Endowment for Excellence established under section 10 of The Australian National University Endowment for Excellence Statute 2012.

Overview

This policy sets out principles by which the University manages the ANU Endowment for Excellence to support, steward and encourage gifts to ANU that progress the University’s strategy to deliver excellence in research, education and societal transformation.

Scope

All special purpose funds within the ANU Endowment for Excellence that receive monetary gifts to the University.

Policy statement

  1. Special purpose funds within the ANU Endowment for Excellence:
  • receive all monetary gifts accepted to the University;
  • have a clear, deliverable purpose that is aligned with University strategic priorities;
  • are invested and financially managed to support the intended use of gifts, in line with the Special Purpose Fund Policy and Procedure;
  • are governed through a transparent and rigorous process;
  • are fair and accord with all relevant laws; and
  • are reviewed regularly.
